Welcome to Bernhard Glomann’s blog. I first started programming on the Commodore 64 when I was 10, and I have been a professional software engineer since 2001. Throughout my career, I have been developing with many different languages, platforms and technologies. One thing I have always been trying to do is to write my code as general and flexible as possible, hoping that it could be reused and extended easily. But this goal turned out to be much harder to achieve than I thought…

In this blog I want to share some of my experiences in my quest to build sustainable software that is easy to maintain and adapt to ever-changing requirements in the long term. I am always interested in learning new things and connecting with other developers.

Thanks for visiting, and please leave comments to share your thoughts.
